Off-Beat Figure Drawing Events in Calgary

Photos are from several years ago in Calgary, Alberta.  My friend Deseré hosts 3-5 of these events most years.

One or more models, usually female, sometimes a male model is included.  Some quiet live music most events.  Sometimes wine available.  All for a very reasonable fee.

I was invited as a photographer a few times to be part of and help document the event. 

The whole process of the event encouraged creativity.
And the results were amazing.  So many different interpretations.  Chalk, ink, pen, pencil. 

For a number of reasons, I’ve turned the model photos into paintings.
